Creating a central database of job openings and job seekers is a strategic initiative of the workforce and economic development entities in the Bluegrass Region. To successfully spearhead this initiative, the partnership was formed to oversee the development of the BlueGrassWorks.net portal. MyCareerNetwork.com maintains the day-to-day responsibility of managing and growing the portal.
What do you mean by civic leadership?
Research suggests that to make a successful long-term connection between a job seeker and the community, the community must provide opportunities for people to explore new realms and work with their passions. Civic leadership opportunities include Board and Committee openings from throughout the community that require “passion.”
What are the co-op/internship positions?
To retain our young people – 18 and older - within the community, we offer a free community service which allows businesses to promote co-op/internship opportunities at no charge.
